Dr Michael Munkert has worked for MUNKERT & PARTNER since 2003. Before that, he studied international business administration at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 1999 to 2000, and in 2005 completed a doctorate there on discount rates in business valuations, for which he won the \u2018Promotionspreis der Hermann-Gutmann-Stiftung\u2019 doctorate prize from the Hermann Gutmann Foundation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Prior to that, he completed a postgraduate course in mergers &acquisitions at the University of M\u00fcnster, following this up with a Masters of Law. Dr Michael Munkert also holds an MSc in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he was awarded the \u2018Emeritus Professors\u2019 Prize\u2019. He has been a tax consultant since 2007.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr Michael Munkert specialises in tax-structure consulting, as well as advising on company purchases\/divestitures, property transactions, restructurings, corporate succession, business valuations and investment controlling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Michael Munkert has been a guest lecturer at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and has been an assistant lecturer in business valuation and mergers &acquisitions at the faculty led by Prof Henselmann at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg since 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He volunteers on many committees, including on the board of trustees for the community of benefactors of Sparkasse N\u00fcrnberg, at the plenary meeting and on the legal & tax committees of the Mittelfranken Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and on the advisory board of the Sparkasse N\u00fcrnberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the chair of the Dr Michael Munkert Foundation, which was founded in 2008.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
